THe ROYAL
The client had chosen the masonry colour with the designer. Myself and the client discussed the colour palette for woodwork and chose Grays to go on sills windows and French sills with the doors to be picked out in the dark and grey. We jet washed all the woodwork guttering and masonry then started woodwork repairs cutting out the rot and repairing with care repair resin along with Two Pac filler. All windows have putty repairs and the front masonry underwent sanding with a Mirka sander with heavy great sandpaper. Cracks on the masonry were raked out and repaired with Toupret masonry filler then sanded to a smooth finish.
All windows were taped up, primed with 123 then sprayed along with facias sills and doors. Masonry mouldings and finials were also sprayed with 123 primer then sprayed in the water-based eggshell. Guttering facias and metalwork woodwork were taped up and sprayed with tinted primer then again sprayed with water-based eggshell. Sills and stone mouldings were sprayed in with masonry paint while the walls were rolled in with the masonry paint.
Finally, the railing section was completely taken back to almost bare metal, repaired where needed, then sprayed twice with tinted 123 primer. After which they were sprayed with final coats of water-based eggshell completing a final renovation of the outside of the public house.
