Cashes Green
This job was passed on by Bailey Paint - a good friend and one of my local paint suppliers. The project was a local Methodist Church that was being made into a home and a really exciting project. The client worked with a designer and Bailey Paint selecting schemes and colours. We then met with the client who was on board from the start - a great client to work with.
We worked out a process for the job because there was a huge amount of high scaffold work to deal with within the project to enable us to get up to work on church windows, ceilings and walls at height.
We started off by taping and sheeting up areas that needed to be protected from overspray or new plasterwork. In all area we rubbed down with a long reach sander followed by finish spray coats on ceiling and walls. We completely renovated the church windows with filler and cork getting them ready for primer coats.
They were then sprayed followed by finished spray coats of eggshell. Beams were sanded back and finished with flat varnish as were brick walls.
The client also asked us to spray the kitchen as he wasn’t happy with the kitchen company finish. This was a three-man job with Sean and myself and making up the spray team and our colleague James doing great finishes on the project in all areas. Paint on the project was Paint Library and Little Green on the walls and woodwork.
This project has since been shortlisted for an award in the Home and Renovation magazine.
